We are pleased to announce that the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has empowered this department to implement and enforce the law regarding the energy efficiency and conservation i.e. NEECA Act 2016 within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.

The law being a federal enactment passed by the parliament of Pakistan aims at energy efficient practices causing less consumption of energy thereby switching to energy efficient appliances/apparatus and building construction practices etc. leading to reduced electricity bills, power distribution system reliability, the need for less generation and minimizing the power supply-demand gap.

In this regard, this department is all prepared to undertake and initiate the efforts with full strength, commitment and spirit by promoting the concept of energy efficiency and conservation, educating the electricity users and construction industry as to how to adopt the energy efficient practices and get benefited therefrom alongside enforcement of the aforementioned law.
